πΏ Care Guide
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Some morning sun is welcome, but protect it from harsh midday or afternoon direct sun, which can bleach or scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Keep the soil evenly moist during the growing season (spring and summer), and reduce watering in fall and winter. Never let the plant sit in standing water.
Humidity: Loves high humidity β ideally 50% or above. Mist the leaves regularly, place on a pebble tray with water, or keep near a humidifier for best results.
Temperature: Prefers warm conditions between 65β85Β°F (18β29Β°C). Sensitive to cold β avoid temperatures below 55Β°F and keep away from drafts and air vents.
Soil: Use a rich, well-draining potting mix. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and a little compost works well to retain moisture without becoming waterlogged.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Avoid over-fertilizing, which can cause leaf burn.
Repotting: Repot every 1β2 years in spring when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot one size larger with good drainage holes.
Pruning: Remove any yellowed or damaged leaves at the base to keep the plant looking its best and encourage healthy new growth.
β οΈ Safety: May cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
