The Angel Wing Begonia is a graceful, easy-care houseplant named for its distinctive wing-shaped leaves — often spotted with silver and flushed with deep red on the underside. It rewards consistent care with cascading clusters of delicate flowers in pink, red, or white.

🌿 Care Guide

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. An east- or west-facing window is perfect. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Water: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, then let it drain completely. Angel Wing Begonias dislike soggy roots — always empty the saucer after watering. Reduce watering in winter.

Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity. Avoid misting directly on leaves (which can cause powdery mildew) — instead, use a pebble tray with water nearby.

Temperature: Thrives between 60–75°F (15–24°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F.

Soil: Use a light, well-draining potting mix. Adding perlite helps prevent waterlogging.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Skip fertilizing in fall and winter.
