Meet the Hoya Flamingo Pink 🌸
Sweet, trailing, and utterly charming — the Hoya Flamingo Pink is a collector's favorite that earns its place in any home. Its thick, waxy leaves cascade beautifully from shelves or climb gracefully up a trellis, and when it blooms, clusters of delicate star-shaped flowers fill the air with a subtle, sweet fragrance. Low-maintenance and long-lived, this is a plant you'll treasure for years.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Some gentle direct morning sun is tolerated and can encourage blooming. Avoid harsh afternoon sun.
- Water: Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Hoyas are semi-succulent and very drought-tolerant — overwatering is their #1 enemy.
- Humidity: Adaptable! Does well in average household humidity (40–60%) but appreciates a little extra during dry winters.
- Temperature: Prefers 60–85°F (15–29°C). Protect from frost and temps below 50°F.
- Soil: Fast-draining mix is essential — a blend of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark works perfectly.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced or high-phosphorus liquid fertilizer to encourage those gorgeous waxy blooms. Skip in fall/winter.
- Blooming: Never cut off old flower spurs — new blooms grow from the same spots season after season!
- Display: Stunning trailing from a shelf or climbing a small trellis.
- Repotting: Rarely needed — Hoyas actually bloom better when slightly rootbound.
✅ Pet-Friendly: Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans — a wonderful bonus!
