🌤️ Light

Thrives in bright indirect light. Place near a south- or east-facing window for best results. It can adapt to medium light, but growth will slow. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and deep shade, which causes leggy growth.

💧 Water

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry, typically every 1–2 weeks. Always water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom, then empty the saucer. Reduce watering in winter. Consistency is key — avoid letting the soil completely dry out or stay soggy.

🌡️ Temperature

Prefers temperatures between 60–80°F (16–27°C). Keep away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning. Avoid temperatures below 55°F (13°C), which can stress the plant.

🌫️ Humidity

Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Mist the leaves regularly, use a pebble tray with water, or run a nearby humidifier to keep it happy — especially during dry winter months.

🪴 Soil & Potting

Use a rich, well-draining potting mix with added perlite. Choose a pot with drainage holes. Repot every 1–2 years in spring when roots begin to outgrow the container.

🌿 Fertilizing

Feed once a month during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. No feeding is needed in fall and winter when the plant's growth slows naturally.

✂️ Pruning

Prune in spring to shape the tree and encourage branching. Remove any dead or damaged leaves at the base. Wear gloves when pruning — the sap can irritate skin.

🔄 Acclimation

Ficus Audrey may drop a few leaves after being moved to a new home — this is completely normal. Find a bright, stable spot and resist the urge to move it around. It will settle in beautifully within a few weeks.

⚠️ Toxicity

Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. The sap can also cause skin irritation in humans. Keep out of reach of pets and handle with care when pruning.
