Care Guide

• Light: Medium to bright indirect light. No direct sun — it will fade and crisp those stunning crimson and green leaves fast.
• Water: Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the top inch is dry. Use filtered, distilled, or rainwater if possible — Calatheas are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water.
• Humidity: High humidity is a must (60%+). Dry air causes brown leaf edges quickly — a humidifier nearby is highly recommended.
• Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C). Keep away from cold drafts, AC vents, and temperatures below 60°F.
• Soil: Well-draining, moisture-retentive mix — a blend of potting soil, perlite, and coco coir works well.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Skip in fall/winter.
• Prayer Plant Movement: Calatheas fold their leaves up at night and open them during the day — a beautiful, natural "prayer" movement! 🙏
• Repotting: Every 1–2 years in spring when rootbound.
