Meet the Peperomia Ginny 🌈
Compact, colorful, and practically carefree — the Peperomia Ginny (Peperomia clusiifolia 'Ginny'), also known as the Rainbow Peperomia or Tricolor Peperomia, is a little gem that punches well above its size. Its thick, glossy leaves are edged in a beautiful blend of cream and rosy pink, creating a living rainbow that brightens any desk, windowsill, or shelf. Easy to love and even easier to care for — a perfect choice for any plant parent.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. The gorgeous pink, cream, and green variegated edges stay most vivid with good light — low light will cause colors to fade and growth to slow.
- Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Thick leaves store water — overwatering is the most common mistake. Water sparingly in winter.
- Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity well — one of the most adaptable houseplants around. No humidifier needed!
- Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temps below 55°F.
- Soil: Well-draining mix is essential — a blend of potting soil and perlite, or a cactus/succulent mix works great.
- Fertilizer: Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer. Very light feeder — less is more!
- Size: A compact, slow-growing beauty that stays small and tidy — perfect for desks, windowsills, and small spaces.
- Repotting: Rarely needed — Peperomias like being slightly rootbound and only need repotting every 2–3 years.
✅ Pet-Friendly: Non-toxic to pets and humans — a fantastic worry-free choice for any home!
