Meet the Lady Valentine Anthurium 💕
Romance in plant form — the Lady Valentine Anthurium is one of the most striking flowering houseplants you can own. Its deep, velvety pink-red heart-shaped spathes glow with an almost luminous intensity, blooming again and again throughout the year with the right care. Whether gifted to a loved one or treasured for yourself, this is a plant that never stops giving.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Deep pink-red spathes stay most vibrant with good light — avoid direct sun which can bleach and burn both leaves and blooms.
- Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Never let it sit in standing water — root rot is its biggest vulnerability. Always use well-draining pots.
- Humidity: Loves high humidity (60%+). Mist the aerial roots (not the flowers), use a pebble tray, or place near a humidifier for best results.
- Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Very sensitive to cold — keep away from drafts and anything below 60°F.
- Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix — orchid bark, perlite, and potting soil blend works beautifully. Root airflow is key.
- Fertilizer: Feed every 6–8 weeks year-round with a high-phosphorus liquid fertilizer to keep those gorgeous blooms coming.
- Blooming: With the right care, Lady Valentine can produce its stunning heart-shaped spathes almost continuously throughout the year! 💕
- Repotting: Every 2 years or when rootbound. Prefers snug pots.
⚠️ Toxicity Warning: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
