Care Guide

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Good light is essential to keep that stunning pink and cream variegation vibrant — too little and leaves may revert to solid green. A few hours of gentle morning sun is a bonus.
• Water: Allow soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Semi-succulent and very susceptible to root rot — when in doubt, wait a few more days.
• Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity (40–60%) well, but a little extra is always appreciated.
• Temperature: Thrives between 60–85°F (15–29°C). No cold drafts or temps below 50°F.
• Soil: Fast-draining mix is essential — potting soil with perlite and orchid bark is ideal.
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced or bloom-boosting fertilizer. Skip in fall/winter.
• Blooming: Produces clusters of star-shaped, sweetly scented pink flowers. Never remove old flower spurs — new blooms emerge from the same spots year after year!
• Variegation: Leaves with more white and pink variegation are more delicate and slower growing — but absolutely worth it.
• Repotting: Rarely needed — blooms best when slightly rootbound. Only repot when roots are escaping the pot.
