Meet the Anthurium Flamingo Flower 🌺
Bold, tropical, and endlessly blooming — the Anthurium Flamingo Flower is one of nature's most dramatic showpieces. Its waxy, heart-shaped spathes in vivid shades of red, pink, or white glow like lacquered art against deep green leaves. With the right care, this beauty rewards you with near-continuous color all year long.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun which can bleach and burn the glossy spathes and leaves. Tolerates lower light but blooming will slow.
- Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Never let them sit in standing water — root rot is their biggest enemy.
- Humidity: Loves humidity (60%+). Mist the aerial roots (not the flowers), use a pebble tray, or place near a humidifier.
- Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F (18–29°C). Sensitive to cold — keep away from drafts and anything below 60°F.
- Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix — orchid bark, perlite, and potting soil blend works great. Good airflow to roots is key.
- Fertilizer: Feed every 6–8 weeks year-round with a high-phosphorus liquid fertilizer to encourage those stunning blooms.
- Blooming: With the right light and fertilizer, Anthuriums can bloom almost continuously throughout the year!
- Repotting: Every 2 years or when rootbound. They like snug pots.
⚠️ Toxicity Warning: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
