Meet the Alocasia Azlanii 🌿
Also known as the Red Mambo, the Alocasia Azlanii is a rare jewel of the plant world. Its deep, iridescent leaves shift between rich greens and dramatic purples depending on the light — like a living gemstone that transforms your space into a lush, exotic escape.
Care Guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun — it can scorch those stunning jewel-toned leaves.
- Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. This one is sensitive to overwatering, so err on the drier side.
- Humidity: High humidity lover (60%+). A humidifier nearby is ideal — a must for keeping those iridescent leaves looking their best.
- Temperature: Keep between 65–85°F (18–29°C). No cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F.
- Soil: Very well-draining mix — a chunky aroid blend with perlite, bark, and coco coir works great.
- Fertilizer: Light feeding every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer.
- Repotting: Only when rootbound — Alocasias are sensitive to disturbance and prefer slightly snug pots.
- Dormancy: May go dormant in lower light or cooler temps. Ease up on watering during this period.
⚠️ Toxicity Warning: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
